QC Application Software Tester

This position will manage activities in executing and improving the QA/QC function by collaborating with analysts, developers, and system owners to develop, implement and maintain standard software testing and QA/QC documentation. This position will use standard QA/QC methodologies to identify and resolve systems issues to ensure that applications meet business, compliance and systems requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Test Planning documents
• Knowledge of reviewing and providing inputs on the project requirements documents
• Expertise in Creating the Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
• Execute test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to specifications.
• Conduct all types of application testing as needed, such as system, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
• Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results and test planning activities
• Expertise in defect logging and Tracking using defect tracking tools and  through manual process .
• Take an active role in testing cross-departmental projects when needed.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
• Stay abreast of the constantly changing state of practices in technology.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in user set up, creating test scenarios and assisting users with navigation through the system.
• Able to provide Test planning and execution effort estimates for planning and prioritization .
• Able to create test cases from Acceptance Criteria.
• Knowledge of creating the requirements documents

Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 - 3 + years QA/testing experience
• Experience in the design, development and implementation of software testing techniques
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Software test professional certification is a plus
• Experience in the Kanban Framework a plus
• Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven and team oriented environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
